BeSWIFT facilitates access to digital services aimed at regulating cross-border trade in Barbados. Traders can conveniently utilize the portal through any reliable web browser. The portal serves as a platform for digital services provided by Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) responsible for authorizing the import and export of regulated goods. Traders who submit applications for Licences, Permits, Certificates, and other regulatory prerequisites (LPCO) will benefit from real-time updates and notifications regarding their requested services./p>

Cross Border Trade

Protecting legitimate trade is paramount to maintaining an environment that fosters sustainable economic development and growth. Given the ever-changing and dynamic nature of global trade, it is imperative for governments to be responsive in establishing a trade environment that efficiently meets the needs of traders. LPCO Application

BeSWIFT provides digital services for obtaining import and export Licences, Permits, Certificates and Other regulatory requirements (LPCO) using a harmonized and standardized approach. These services are delivered in accordance with the mandate of Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) and are geared at facilitating compliance with both domestic and international trade regulatory standards.

Single Submission

BeSWIFT enables traders to conveniently submit ‘only once’ all the information and supporting documents to satisfy the regulatory requirements of the cross-border trade environment via a single access point. The integration and process flow provided for LPCOs allow for greater connectivity and collaboration among Partner Government Agencies, whereby improving data quality and authentication.

BeSWIFT services are streamlined to provide predictability and simplified transactional steps. Access to transaction details and electronic notifications on varying system processes, allow for real-time feedback which serves to improve the decision-making capacity of trading community partners.
